12/09/2014: Peyman successfully defended his thesis and is moving to his assistant professor position in Missouri University of Science and Technology.

10/28/2014: Qiao et al. paper on low salinity flooding is accepted by SPE Journal.

10/28/2014: Zhang et al. paper (longjun Zhang) on flow and gas sorption in unconventional fractured reservoirs is accepted by Journal of Natural Science & Engineering.

09/08/2014: Peyman and Li paper on solute transport in heterogeneous sandbox is accepted by Water Resources Research.

09/05/2014: Dr. Li delivers an invited talk in Washington University at st. Louis.

09/02/2014: A brief meeting report on the NSF-supported RTM workshop is published in the 2 September 2014 issue of Eos.

08/26/2014: Hubbard et al. paper on reservoir souring and isotopic signature is accepted by Microbial Physiology and Metabolism in Frontiers in Microbiology.

07/28/2014: Dr. Li is an invited speaker in CUAHSI Biennial Symposium 2014.

Oct. 29, 2013: Fatemeh’s second paper on magnesite dissolution in heterogeneous porous media is accepted by Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta.

Oct. 25, 2013: Vikranth’s paper on bioclogging and permeability alteration is accepted by Energy & Fuels.

Oct. 24, 2013: Our cement degradation paper together with Carnegie Mellon collaborators (Zhang, Dzombak, and Nakles) is accepted by Energy & Fuels.

Oct. 15, 2013: SSHO renewl proposal is funded (PI: Dr. Sue Brantley). We are officially part of the CZO team.

Oct. 9, 2013: Javier’s manuscript on oil droplet biodegration in the context of oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is accepted by Geochemical Transactions.

July 17, 2013: Dr. Li deliverred a talk on heteogeneity controls on geochemcial reactions in the CEE Dept at UIUC. Thanks to Dr. Albert Valocchi for being a great host.

July 16, 2013: Dr. Li is an invited panelist in the session “Fossile Fuel Microbiology” during the 2013 EBI retreat in University of Illinois at Urbana-Chaimpaign.

July 1, 2013: Our bioclogging manuscirpt (collaboration with LBNL) is accepted by Geophysics.

June 7, 2013: Dr. Li is an invited speaker in the NETL Reduced order model (ROM) workshop held in Carnegie Mellon University.

April 27, 2013: Peyman won Charles B. Darrow award in the Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering at Penn State.

April 5, 2013: Dr. Celia from Princeton visited Penn State and gave a talk on geological carbon sequestion for Penn State Water Series.

Feb. 23, 2013: Peilin won the 1st place award for poster presentation in the Energy and Engineering category at the 2013 Carbon Conference of CarbonEARTH held here at Penn State.
